The concept of the company was born from independent academic research by the University of Glasgow, which concluded that our ‘Move To Improve’ programme can deliver positive evidence for:

Improved Health and Wellbeing and Deliver Against HEAT Targets
Citizenship
Leadership skills

And deliver real improvements in the following areas:

Levels of Physical Activity for Every Child
To develop the skills necessary for every child to participate in a wide range of physical activity and sport
To provide opportunity for participation in daily high quality physical activity that is purposeful, challenging, progressive and enjoyable, with choice built in for all learners,
Increased confidence of individuals

We have a proven track record in working with schools as an educational partner; evidencing a positive change in learning and physical activity and effectively delivering on national agendas such as The Curriculum for Excellence and the government strategy; Reach Higher.

Our CPD department, headed by Dr. David Morley, has a wide range of education expertise and is responsible for supporting our products and services. This ensures that every school working in partnership with ESP Scotland delivers sustainable change that provides a positive impact across the whole school. We have relationships with the university network that independently measures the impact ESP Scotland are having in schools and children’s lifestyles.
